Jenna Ushkowitz has clarified rumours that the cast of Glee will be refreshed in 2012.
The show's executive producer Ryan Murphy revealed in December that he is thinking of introducing new characters, but Ushkowitz explained that he had been misquoted.
"[The cast] were shocked at first, we didn't know what was going on," Ushkowitz told The TV Addict. "[But] we talked to [Murphy] and he talked to us about it and he never really said that. He kind of said that but he didn't. It was a little bit of a misunderstanding."
She added: "We're all going to have to graduate at some point. I don't think it's going to be 2012. I don't really know. But it also doesn't mean that the show won't go on without us going to college, another school, or sticking around for a little while. We'll see what happens. With Ryan Murphy, anything is possible!"
Glee returns in the US on February 6 after the Super Bowl on Fox. The show continues in the UK on Mondays at 9pm on E4.

There’s crazy-loud buzz right now about a football-field mashup of “Thriller” and “Heads Will Roll,” but if that performance is going to join the pantheon of the show’s all-time greatest musical numbers, it’ll have to leapfrog over these 11 performances. 11. “Dog Days Are Over” | Mercedes, Tina, and New Directions (“Special Education,” Season 2) | The sectionals number that should’ve been, but inexplicably wasn’t. No matchy-matchy costumes, no slick choreography. Just our McKinley High kids belting their hearts out and having a blast doing it.
10. “Defying Gravity” | Kurt and Rachel (“Wheels,” Season 1) | Everybody loves a diva-off, and watching Lea Michele and Chris Colfer duke it out on this Wicked ballad was truly riveting, a defining moment for the show’s initial season.
9. “Push It” | New Directions (“Showmance,” Season 1) | I usually wince when anyone from McKinley strays down Hip-Hop Boulevard, but when New Directions secretly substituted the Salt-n-Pepa party-starter into their school assembly set list, the results were hilariously ribald.

Glee 2, Gwyneth Paltrow canta Kiss; novità per The Good Wife, Hellcats e 30 Rock
Gwyneth Paltrow e Matthew Fox canteranno insieme Kiss di Prince nella prossima apparizione della signora Chris Martin in Glee, la notizia è riportata da TV Line, che sottolinea come la produzione dello show abbia fatto un colpaccio, visto che raramente il cantante concede licenze per riproporre le sue canzoni in tv. Nella sua seconda apparizione, lo ricordiamo, la Paltrow riprenderà il ruolo di Holly Holiday, che stavolta arriva al McKinley High per sostituire l’insegnante di educazione sessuale…
Ken Leung (Lost) e John Benjamin Hickey (The Big C) saranno le guest star dell’episodio di The Good Wife in onda su CBS il primo marzo, Leung (che vedremo anche nel pilota di Big Mike, serie A&E dove interpreterà un dottore) sarà un uomo che cita in giudizio un social network – ed il suo amministratore delegato, interpretato da Hickey – per non aver protetto la sua privacy, dopo aver aperto un blog anonimo sulla democrazia in Cina, il governo lo imprigionerà e torturerà.
Nastia Liukin, medaglia d’oro alle Olimpiadi del 2008, sarà la guest star di Hellcats nel ruolo di sé stessa, quando sarà la presentatrice di una raccolta di fondi; non si tratta della prima apparizione della ginnasta in una serie sportiva, la Liukin è già apparsa in Make It or Break It (e, su CW, in Gossip Girl).
Buone notizie infine per i fan di 30 Rock, Tracy Morgan è tornato sul set dopo che a dicembre si era sottoposto ad un trapianto di rene, l’attore mancherà per diversi episodi, ma la sua assenza sarà spiegata e, visto che è già al lavoro, non si esclude di vederlo prima del previsto…

Si questa serie è davvero ben fatta ,ammetto che anche io ero titubante quando vedevo la pubblicità,
credevo fosse una serie come il Mondo di Patty,però dopo la 1 puntata mi sono dovuta ricredere.
Poi l ultima puntata è stata davvero emozionante
adesso non vedo l ora di vedere la seconda serie

Si la puntata delle regionali davvero bellissima bè io tifo per la coppia Finn Rachel sono belli insieme soprattutto quando cantano mi fanno emozionare ogni volta si ho visto le sintesi però non so se leggerle ,perchè non mi piace sapere prima come sarà la seconda stagione altrimenti non c è più gusto.
Dai davvero non la manderanno prima di settembre la 2 serie?non credo di poter aspettare

Barbra's clarification of her statement when asked about appearing on Glee
When asked if I would ever appear on ‘Glee,” I should have said, “You never know.” It was wrong to say, “Not if I can help it.”
What I meant was that I’ve been overwhelmed preparing for my performance on MusiCares, the Grammys, recording a new album, and starting a new movie. So I couldn’t take on any more work, and besides that, I wasn’t asked.
I’m so honored that a lead character on “Glee” is so admiring of my work. In my speech at MusiCares, I thanked them “for exposing young people to music they might otherwise not hear today: Lea Michele, Matthew Morrison, and Darren Criss…you’re all so gifted.”

Love 'Em Tender: Glee Officially Bigger Than Elvis
The King is dead. And he's ceded his throne to those pop princes and princesses of Glee.
The castmembers of the hit Fox series have just made music history—having already toppled the likes of The Beatles and Michael Jackson, the New Directions just passed Elvis Presley and now own the record of most songs ever on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The Glee crew's cover tunes have accounted for 113 entries on the Hot 100 since the show began releasing singles a year and a half ago (though it should be noted that fewer than one-fourth remained on the charts longer than a week). With the six tracks that debuted this week, Lea Michele, Cory Monteith and company can now genuinely say they're bigger than Presley, whose record had stood at 108 songs.
Somebody better cue "Heartbreak Hotel," 'cause we're sure Elvis fans are seriously sad right about now.

'Glee' Cast Tops Elvis Presley for Most Hot 100 Hits
Despite having first graced the Billboard Hot 100 song chart as recently as June 2009, the cast of the smash Fox TV series "Glee" rewrites the record for most charted songs by an act in the list's 52-year archives.
The act passes music royalty on its way to chart history.
With six debuts on the Hot 100 to be released tomorrow (Feb. 17) on Billboard.com, the "Glee" cast has placed 113 songs on the chart, besting Elvis Presley's 108 chart entries logged between the survey's inception in 1958 and 2003.

Following the Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning series' premiere May 19, 2009, the "Glee" ensemble arrived on the Hot 100 with its highest-charted title to-date (No. 4), a cover of Journey's 1981 rock classic "Don't Stop Believin'," the week of June 6, 2009.
The act has been able to fast-track its way to Hot 100 history thanks to 20th Century Fox and Columbia Records having released multiple songs digitally following each new "Glee" episode.
A remake of Katy Perry's recent Hot 100 No. 1 "Firework" represents the "Glee" cast's highest debuting title this week (No. 34). The song premiered on the Feb. 8 episode, "Silly Love Songs."
With nine titles currently on the list, the "Glee" cast charts its most songs in a single week, besting the eight cuts it placed on the Dec. 18, 2010, chart.

Gwyneth Paltrow Fixes 'Glee' and Kings of Leon Feud
Gwyneth Paltrow has apparently eased the on-going feud between 'Glee' producer Ryan Murphy and rockers Kings of Leon.
Perhaps, Paltrow, who will guest star on 'Glee' for her second set of appearances next month, wanted to play mediator since she now has a recurring role on the show.
Back in December 'Glee' producer Ryan Murphy jabbed at KOL, after the band declined using their songs on the hit show, saying, "F--- you, Kings of Leon. They're self-centered assholes, and they missed the big picture. They missed that a 7-year-old kid can see someone close to their age singing a Kings of Leon song, which will maybe make them want to join a glee club or pick up a musical instrument."
Kings of Leon drummer, Nathan Followill responded by saying, "Dear Ryan Murphy, let it go. See a therapist, get a manicure, buy a new bra. Zip your lip and focus on educating 7 year olds how to say f**k." Followil then tweeted an apology to anyone who may have been offended.
Enter Gwyneth Paltrow. The actress recently stepped in, getting both parties to apologize via text message to one another and recently told 'Hollywood Reporter' that "it's all good now." 'Glee' stars Darren Criss and Chord Overstreet even went to the Kings of Leon's post-Grammy party, and Matthew Morrison expressed the cast's love for the band backstage at the Grammys.
Paltrow returns to 'Glee' in March in her guest slot as a Spanish teacher who has the hots for teacher Matthew Morrison.
